Growing up I spent a lot of my teenage years at my father's house, as my parents divorced when I was 12 years old. My father had a keen interest in the astral plane. This is where your soul leaves the body during sleep or deep relaxation.
You can actually do certain techniques to experience the astral plane phenomenon. Listening to stories from my father gave me an interest in this subject. I would often experiment with suggestions from books on how to travel on the astral plane. I had quite a bit of success with some strange experiences during sleep. During one of these incidents I found myself looking down on my sleeping body, which I found quite frightening and actually remember, thinking how am I going to get back into my body.
Suddenly I woke up with a jerk, the kind of feeling you have when someone startles you. I continued with these experiments for about a year with some amazing results. However in the end I got bored with the subject and stopped my astral plane journeys.
About twenty years later, now with teenage children of my own. One day my daughter returned from school with a computer print out about the Astral Plane. Trawling the web she had come across this subject and became interested in it. I found it quite coincidental, as my father had died suddenly a week earlier. We had often said light-heartedly that when one of us died we would attempt to meet on the astral plane. It is suggested that it is possible to meet deceased loved ones in this way.
I spent several hours discussing what I new about astral projection with my daughter before heading off to the local newsagents. Whilst in the shop my eye was immediately drawn to the magazine section where I could see the words Astral Plane staring back at me. It turned out to be a publication called prediction. Most of the contents were regarding out of body experiences. I purchased it and headed home, where I began reading it. It soon became apparent that the whole contents were either about the astral plane, Pisces and the month of March.
What was extraordinary about this was that my father was born in March and his star sign Pisces. On further inspection of the magazine, I discovered that it was the March issue. However we were now in late September. I decided to return to the shop the next day and see if I could get the September issue. Yet strangely enough when I told the newsagent that I'd purchased an out of date Prediction magazine the day before and did he have Septembers, he responded by saying he didn't even stock that particular magazine and never has done. He refused to even accept that I'd bought the March issue the previous day. I left the shop more confused than ever.
Was it my father making contact with me? Needless to say the following couple of weeks produced some strange happenings, which I believe must have been the work of my late father.
