On November 7, 2006 there was a reported UFO sighting at the O'Hare Chicago airport. This UFO event reportedly happened at 4:30 PM during the day. There were many witnesses who were employees at the airport. Unlike other UFO reports, these witnesses are credible. Their jobs and their reputations could be at stake. Yet, a few of these employees say they saw an unexplained object just above the airport that day.
The sky was cloudy that day and the witnesses say the object was gray in appearance and very well defined in the sky. There were no reported lights on the object. It looked like a Frisbee and made no noise. It stayed in this position for a few moments and then suddenly shot straight up into the air. Witnesses say the acceleration caused a hole in the cloud cover. They could see the blue sky, through the hole the object created.
The people who watching the craft were certain that it wasn't anything from the airport. They say it wasn't an airplane, helicopter, or any known object that is used in the sky. There was a theory that this was some kind of weather phenomenon, but this still hasn't been proven yet. It was also rumored that people took pictures and video from cell phones of the object. No significant video has yet been released.
A few pictures of the UFO event did come forward, but many believe these pictures were fake. That is not to say that this UFO event was hoaxed. This story made it to the Chicago Tribune newspaper, and there are many people that take this event seriously. Just what was it flying about the airport that day in November?
This is a major airport we are talking about. And since the events that happened on September 11, 2001 there are all kinds of new safeguards for the United States. It would seem, if an unusual object was above a major airport, many government officials would be interested as to what it would be. No one has come forward with an explanation or any comment on this object. Yet, it was hovering over a major United States airport.
It looks like the Chicago O'Hare UFO sighting has received the same silence as other UFO cases. Maybe this silence is because it was nothing more than a simple weather phenomenon. Or maybe, just maybe, this event was something more. And that could be why the "silence" still persists.
