The Girl's Extraordinary Eyes

Was it really the work of the Devil, as claimed by the petrified neighbors of this amazing 12-year-old girl when they witnessed how she levitates objects just by looking at them?

The neighbors are fully convinced that Rosita's bizarre power - which she can't control - is the work of the Devil. But a local Catholic priest in Mendoza, Argentina, says young Rosita Espinosa's incredible powers are nothing to be afraid of. “I saw Rosita look at a big bottle and it levitated almost to the ceiling.” Father Val Gallardo said. “When she covered her eyes with her hands, the bottle crashed to the floor and broke.”

“I also saw her levitate an apple by looking at it. When she turned her stare in another direction the apple fell. Rosario's stare is very special. I believe we are dealing with a psychic phenomenon.”

Glasses, brooms, ash trays, bottles - even bicycles simply float weightlessly under Rosita's gaze, witnesses say. No one knows what triggered the weird events, but it all started when Rosita was 11½ years old, her mother Matilda said.

“One afternoon Rosita was helping me in the kitchen,” she said. “She was peeling potatoes. All of a sudden one potato rose and floated in the air. I grabbed it and nothing else happened. I told my husband but he didn't believed me - until he saw for himself.”

Rosita's dad, Almario, said that the following day Rosita was helping clean the family's grocery store when a soft drink bottle started floating in midair. “I thought I was hallucinating!” he recalled.

“It was moving left to right to left. I was afraid and told my daughter to leave the store so she wouldn't get hurt. As she run out, the bottle crashed on the floor and broke. Then two weeks later, as Rosita worked in the store alone, it became clear that she was the cause of the eerie events.”

“My mother had given me a shopping list,” said a local high school student, Gabriel Benigno. “I was in the store, and I called off each item for Rosita to take from the shelf,” he recalled.

“To my amazement, everything started floating. When I asked for tomatoes, they started floating in the air before Rosita could touch them. Suddenly, a big crowd gathered around us when they saw the fantastic event. Alarmed by so much attention from the people, Rosita started crying, and when she did, everything in the air fell. We all run away as fast as we could as we panicked at what we saw.”

Eventually, the neighbors were compelled to file a complaint before the local police when they witnessed again how a bicycle flew at Rosita's glance. “She just looked at the bike, and it started to fly - it was even pedaling,” said stunned eyewitness Josefina Evangelista. And when Rosita looked away, she said, “the bike came down.”

“I went to the police and told them there was a girl with the Devil's eyes whi is terrorizing our lives!” “I've never seen anything like it!” declared Police Officer Edgardo Cañete, who investigated the case.

“I was sitting at a table in Rosita's house when I saw her look at a glass of water - and the glass started floating about 6½ feet off the floor. When the girl left the room, the glass crashed on the table and broke, spilling water all over.”

Now people stay away from Rosita, her family and their store, terrified of the “Devil” they think is lurking in the young girl. But her mother added, “Rosita doesn't understand how her glance influences objects - she just wants it to stop!”
