Beckhams 2 Rule Ok!

Why David and Victoria Beckham should be made king and queen of england and more. how Nelson Mandella could lend a hand. how the world would be a much better place if the andanotherthing team could take over for a couple of weeks

News of the Beckhams signing a £10m deal to appear in their own reality TV show has pleased the AndAnotherThing team. We have long admired the couple enormously. Indeed, it is our opinion that, David and Victoria (as the most popular couple in English history to date) should be crowned King and Queen of England. We are sure that, should there ever be a vote on the matter - a national referendum - that Liz and Philip and those in line for the throne currently - would be out.

Nobody can argue against AndAnotherThing's view!

The only good reason that monarchists offer for keeping the “Royals” (as we call them in the UK) is that they bring in money via tourism. Who could argue that David and Victoria wouldn't bring in more? I rest my case.

David is a King!

Apart from anything else, they are a lovely couple. David, especially, is a favourite of mine. Good to his family, a marvellous bread winner and family man. Did anyone see the documentary about him living in Madrid? He learnt Spanish, appreciated their culture and never paid for a meal. The Spanish adored him. In my research for this article I spent four days at Bar Real Madrid, in Vejer, Spain. The people there actually had tears in their eyes when talking of David's imminent departure for LA Galaxy.

Victoria is a Queen!

But I like Victoria too. The film she made for Comic Relief 2006 was really touching. She is so obviously a warm and kind hearted person and very unlike the person as presented by British media. Not only that, when the Beckhams appeared on Comic Relief 2005, being interviewed by Ali G, Victoria made it. She showed that she doesn't take her self seriously and enjoyed making people laugh. This is proof of a most wonderful character trait. (A video of the interview is available from google video clips if you want to see for yourself).

LA GALAXY

So now LA and all that offers. In the report I read, a spokesperson for the production company said “they appreciate Victoria's wit”. I cannot tell you how much this cheered me up. This is surely indicative of a press media with heart and an eye on the good in people - not like here where exactly the opposite is the case and if there is no bad they invent it with titbits and innuendo.

The Beckhams Aren't Stupid

Talk of the Beckhams' wedding was almost malicious in the UK press. They came over as a bunch of jealous individuals who would have given much better reviews if they had been invited. Hello magazine really produced a brilliant article by their exclusive reporter. David and Victoria were brought to the wedding on purple throne, sedan chairs and this was taken by the press in England to be a delusion of grandeur, not two people having a whale of a time. The attention to details was spectacular and so Posh! Apple garlands, draped around pillars in amongst foliage and flowers, were pierced half an hour before the guests arrived to release a scent to harmonize with the flowers. How lovely.

The Beckhams and Nelson Mandella to Rule the World! Vote AndAnotherThing!!

If the AndAnotherThing team ruled the world David and Victoria would not only be King and Queen of England but the whole world too. Nelson Mandella, of course, would be Emperor, at which point the AndAnotherThing team would retire and go and work for ComedyMoment.co.uk

Hi - I've just arrived in a time machine and I'm having difficulty catching up with developments in the 21st century. Can you tell me where the next meeting is for this campaign? I know it is on the 12th July at 8pm. Thanks my child

Gilbert, if you are still in our time, please contact me either via the Church of Scientology (California) or here. I've long believed that what many deluded people see as a funny part of life (ie farting) is actually the devil being released from their bodies. I was so pleased to find a real person (albeit from centuries past) who held the same, wise beliefs.

If only! No way could the Beckham's do any worse than George W Bush, Tony Blair and latterly Gordon Brown. Warmongers should be banned from office.

This article becomes more and more relevant. When I think about the crap that really controls/rules/dominates I wonder why anyone ever really wanted the vote.
