Sixteen-year-old Australian singer/songwriter Gabriella Cilmi is being celebrated for her fresh style and massive vocal ability since she exploded into the music scene and onto our iPods with chart topper "Sweet About Me". Her next single "Save The Lies" will be released on August 18th and is set to be another hit for the petite singer.
While touring with A-listers such as the Sugababes and James Blunt, Gabriella constantly left her audience spellbound proving she can perform with the best! When asked recently what she thought of her new found fame she replied “I just take things day by day. We'll see what happens. I'm enjoying myself at the moment so hopefully it can only get better”.
Gabriella's sultry style has been compared to singers such as rock legend Janis Joplin and soul diva Aretha Franklin, but it's her recent dubbing as the new Amy Winehouse that's got us talking.
Let's hope the stars music is the only thing we ever compare to the troubled Amy Winehouse.
