Great People Who Have Died

People like Mother Teresa and Princess Diana were wonderful people. They left great memories.

Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa was a Roman Catholic Nun. She ministered to the poor, sick, orphaned, and dying in Calcutta India. Mother Teresa did missionary work and started it in 1948. From what I heard about her, I think she was a wonderful nun with a big and kind heart. I never knew much about her until after her death.

It has been said that in 1983, Mother Teresa suffered a heart attack in Rome. After a second heart attack in 1989 she received a pacemaker. One thing after another seemed to happen to Mother Teresa. Why, I don’t know. She was doing wonderful things in her missionary work helping the poor. She died September 5, 1997 at the age of 87.

Princess Diana

Princess Diana seemed to be another wonderful person who cared for people. She was married to Prince Charles. Diana became like a celebrity, but she had marital problems and divorced Charles.

Princess Diana was involved in charity work in the 1980’s. She was photographed touching a person with HIV. I think that Diana changed the world’s opinion about Aids. She showed the world that people with HIV could be touched and cared for. I’m sure it meant a lot to people with aids to see Princess Diana reaching out. I believe that it gave them hope. Princess Diana was a great woman and she died in the same year as Mother Teresa. She died August 31, 1997 at the age of 36 in a car accident in Paris.

Sonny Bono

Sonny Bono was a record producer, singer, and actor. I remember him acting and singing with his wife Cher. He had a show called the Sonny and Cher Show that ran in 1971 to 1977 on CBS. The next thing I knew after years had gone by, I saw him on television as a politician. On January 5, 1998, Sony died of injuries after striking a tree while skiing on the Nevada side of the Heavenly Ski Resort near South Lake Tahoe, California. He was 62 years old.

John F. Kennedy, Jr.

John F. Kennedy, Jr. was the son of President John F. Kennedy. I don’t know much about John F. Kennedy, Jr. But to me, his father was a great president from what I read in history and have seen John Jr. as a little boy. John F. Kennedy, Jr. was an assistant district attorney in Manhattan from 1989 to 1993. The next thing I know he was killed also. He died on July 16, 1999 at the age of 38. John F. Kennedy, Jr. was killed along with his wife and sister-in-law when the aircraft he was piloting crashed into the Atlantic Ocean.

I think all of these people were wonderful people that died. It’s funny how they died one year after another. Well, these great people left us with great memories.

Great job on your article. It's been years since Princess Diana died and it is still a shock to me because of how tragically she died.

I know it. Me too. It's just so unfair. That's why it is important to be around the right people in the right places. Something is always happening to good people it seems. Always have people around you in your life blessing and praying for you.

You're right. You should be around the people who love you and will look out for you. They will be the ones to help you when you need it.
