La Parisienne: The French Woman

What is it that French women have? Learn their style secrets today, and make them yours!

French women are known throughout the world for their beauty and style. But how do we truly capture the image of that svelte Parisian?

Firstly, we get the stereotypes. "They never bath, shave, wear makeup, or wear deodorant," we hear many Americans say. Allow me to enlighten you: French women do bathe, though less so then American women. They do shave, just like other women. (Who knows what American came up with the idea that they considered underarm hair to be beautiful?) They do wear makeup, but they apply it so masterfully that you can hardly tell, and they do wear deodorant.

Next, we get the truth about the French woman, but it is divided into several categories.

Clothing

Rather than cramming her wardrobe with cheap clothes she will never wear, the French woman purchases a few high quality pieces to mix and match, so she looks like she spent a lot on her wardrobe, even though she spent less than an American.

Dining

Instead of eating piles and piles of healthy foods that she does not even like, the French woman will eat small portions of her favorite foods, and savor every mouthful, chewing slowly and enjoying it thoroughly. A French meal can last up to three hours. Please note that the French have much less of an obesity factor than the American people do.

Actions

If a French woman does not draw gazes from at least five men, than she considers it an unsuccessful day. To the French, flirting is not simply something to do once and a while with a certain person. To them, it is and everyday ritual.

So remember, in France, quality is the key! Adieu!
