Forbes always puts out its richest people in the world lists each year and usually breaks out special populations lists as it tells all about people's wealth. It is interesting to see that 4 of the 5 top Black Billionaires in the world were born in Africa. Three of the four are still citizens of African nations and one became a citizen of Saudi Arabia. Only one of the Top 5 Black Billionaires is an African American.

Age 62, is estimated to be worth 9 billion dollars. He was born in Ethiopia and later became a Saudi citizen. His wealth was amassed through construction and real estate businesses initially. Then he branched out into Swedish and Moroccan oil refineries. Aliko Dangote
Age 51, is estimated by Forbes to be worth 3.3 billion dollars. He is Nigeria's first billionaire and heads the Dangote Group, where is first made his money from sugar production. Oprah Winfrey
Age 55, is the only American in the top 5 Black Billionaires world-wide. Her present wealth is around 2.5 billion dollars according to Forbes. Mohammed Ibrahim
