The Neighbor From Hell

You know the one I mean. You've had the same dark thoughts I've had.

Have you ever had one of those neighbors? You know the one I'm talking about. The chic who accosts you every time you walk outside and then won't ever shut up. The one who sees you with a kid in one arm and bags in another and stands there and talks about absolutely nothing until you finally find a pause to interject that you “really have to go”, and then says goodbye to you and your kid for another ten minutes. The one who hears you pull up and comes running outside to talk some more while you have ice cream melting in the car. The one who rings your doorbell ten times a day/night to ask for a favor or for a ride somewhere (that's right, she doesn't have a car).

I have one of those. I dread coming home. Sometimes I walk really low so she can't see me over the fence, but my car gives me away. I've thought about parking up the street, but I don't think my car would be there in the morning. Sometimes I think, I can just end it all right here. End the pain. But then I think about my kids and my husband, and I put that pill bottle away and come out to face another day with the neighbor from hell .

Maybe we can get enough people to view this, get you on top of search engine lists, somehow she finds this article you wrote, gets the darn message and moves !

I wish you the best.

I had a neighbor like that too once, even destroyed his own marriage by jumping the fence into my yard, bothering me, annoying me for two years till I moved away; only for him to annoy me for another five years. He eventually gave up and crawled back to whatever existence he was obviously better suited for.
Again, I wish you the best and maybe you should just tell her or keep using the disappointment in her to fuel some more excellent writing from you ! Either way, a win-win situation, I am sure.

Good day
