Because of his grandchildren's moanings and groanings, he smiles to him self in reminiscence, of the old adage, that: it is Better to stick with the devils you know than to develop a trust and belief in some thing new. How well he remembers how he would hold on with a grip of death on to his old ideas on how to bring his furnaces up to full and proper smelting temperatures to produce quality products for the company he had been working for, for thirty years, till that day arrived when a younger man showed him, that his professional experience was thirty years out of date, compared with what other professionals had been doing and had been producing better quality products and getting more burns and smelts, than he ever had.
He simply would not let go of the idea that all of his practices and procedures and measurements had been faulty for the previous thirty years, and how he always fought with the new chap and tried many times to over rule him, and use his position with the company to over power the new man. Till the day came when their boss called them both in to his office and told him to his face that he will listen and obey the directions of the new man from now on, or else he can leave the company.
Their Grandfather well remembers how hurt he had been, when directly confronted by his boss in front of the new man, and how obstinate he still had been. He remembers well that it took him another two years of grudging obedience with the new man's ways, that he finally admitted to him self and to his fellow workers that Michael with all of his knowledge and experience and education was actually right, and that he was quite happy to go along with Michael in any thing he suggests they do, to improve not only production out put, but also quality assurance out put, and furnace out put.
He also remembers how better he felt in himself from that time on, and how better he felt with his fellow work mates, and with life in general. Every thing seemed to get better from the moment he admitted that Michael was right and knew exactly what to do and how to do it, for the benefit of the company and for every one else in the work shop and the furnace areas.
So he knew from his own experiences, that it will take his grandchildren time also, not just to come to the answers he was hoping they will come to, but that it will probably take them at least two or more years to fully except the truth of their findings and his answers, as being true and right practices for them to practice from that time on, as well.
Three months later they call him up again and this time they are a bit more enthusiastic and believe they have found the answers he was hoping they would come to for them selves and that they want to meet next Saturady as usual? So he agrees, and at 9 am they arrive on time
with a manuscripts of documented evidence, and they bring with them, the AKJ bible and the WMCF and Strong's Concordance and the original tapes. Their grandfather smiles as he listens to the tapes, and smiles more as he then listens to their findings; and selects his eldest grandson Clifford, who is now 31, to be the spokes man for them all.
It appears to them that "What is Man's Nature and how it effects every living soul in Mankind?" is that Man can never see the tree's for the forest, and not even beyond their own nose at any time, from birth to the grave, that they need to experience a total change of the heart and mind and soul and conscience, before they can see the truth of any thing.
So Clifford goes on to explain, that the preason they are there says Clifford, his eldest grandson, is, What worries them the most though, is, IF, what they have found out and discovered is true, then "Who is able to produce such a drastic and total irreversable change in them and in Mankind, if meer thought or acts of good will,does not work, or of grim determination and will power does not work, nor religion, nor Man made humble humility, does not work, nor science is able to do it in us and for us?"
Their grandfather smiles and laughs aloud at the question, and congratulates them on a tremendous amount of effort, which has produced such an amount of successful evidences of the truth. And he orders every one in to the kitchen for their grandmother's favorite ice cream, cake and toppings. For a work well done so far.
