Three Heroes

The definition of a hero.

Anne Hutchinson, Hester Prynn, and John Proctor where hero's because a hero is someone who makes a difference in the world for the better of mankind and they all accomplished that.

  1. John Proctor- did not want to say what he was a witch even though he was killed for it, he stood up for him self
  2. Hester Prynn- even with all of the people putting her down she tried not to let it bother her, and eventually became a role model
  3. Anna Hutchinson- She talked about how he interpreted the bible during meetings with other women. She set a higher standard for other women in the future.

John Proctor was a man with high values.

  1. Accused of being a witch and denied it even though it meant his life
  2. Stood up for his wife even though he knew he would then be accused by Abigail
  3. Never gave op his values- he never caved in under all of the pressure

Hester Prynn was very strong when it came to the public humiliation, which lasted almost her whole life.

  1. Committed Adultery- she cheated on her husband of whom she thought was dead, cheated with a minister!
  2. Showed others how strong she can be and was thought of as a role model for some women
  3. Raised a child in the meantime as best she could, and did not tell the ministers secret

Anne Hutchinson believed in interpreting the bible in a different way.

  1. Created a path for future women to follow
  2. Believed in a covenant of grace
  3. Stood up for herself unlike other women from that time period

CONCLUSION

Anne Hutchinson, Hester Prynn, and John Proctor are all heroes because they all made a difference in the world.

  1. Some may not notice but there are hero's among us everyday
  2. Hero's stride to make the world great
  3. anyone can be a hero
