Types of intelligence

People develop different type of intelligence accordingly to their value system

Intelligence is a very wide concept. It is considered that a man is intelligent if he has a very good capacity to solve problems, while people who are not very efficient are not considered too bright.

Intelligence can be inherited. Most of the intelligent parents have intelligent children. However, it happens many times that intelligent genitors do not have very bright offspring.

It is well known that educated people are more intelligent than those who are not. This is possible mainly because exactly like other functions intelligence requires training.

Each normal person may improve his intelligence by involving in mental activities and by adopting positive attitudes towards himself. On the contrary, people who do not involve in intellectual activities or those who do not have a very good self-confidence cannot develop a high level of intelligence.

Every successful man develops certain mental qualities, which help him to be efficient in a specific area. A good psychologist can communicate well and control carefully his emotions. A good doctor is very skilful in his specialty.

Efficient people can develop certain mental abilities that are important for them and miss to develop those abilities that are considered useless. Many intelligent people are not rich because they are not practical or the lack the financial skills. Most of businessmen cannot understand arts because their artistic intelligence is not developed. Many artists behave like children because their emotional intelligence is low.

The term “intelligence” means all types of intelligence. When somebody wishes to characterize a person, the simple affirmation that he is intelligent is not enough.

According to his value system each person tries to develop specific skills, strengths and talents.

In modern societies everybody has to develop rational intelligence, which is very analytical and the lack of it prevents people to solve problems.

Businessmen concentrate to develop their financial intelligence in order to be very profitable in all their actions. High financial intelligence helps them to find out which are the best markets and the investments they can make. This requires experience, very good knowledge of the market, fine organization skills and intuition.

Those who know how to live a healthy life develop body intelligence. They have very good knowledge how to prevent diseases which are the best ways to influence the healing process.

People with high body intelligence respect their body: they practice sports, their diet is very healthy, and they know how to get rid of stress. They live longer than other people since they adopt a healthier lifestyle.

Some people develop their emotional intelligence, which is related with good self-control, balance, and the capacity to deeply understand the others.

They are happy because they know how to enjoy their lives. Also the can easily deal with daily stress.

High emotional intelligence helps people to express in a civilized manner their thoughts and feelings, which make them very charismatic.

Their capacity to read body language is extraordinary, thus they can evaluate correctly all the people with whom the have to deal with.

Because of their good manners people with high emotional IQ can prevent many conflicts.

Wise religious persons develop spiritual intelligence. Such individuals try to integrate the religion in their daily activities and develop a very good relationship with the divinity.

Genuine believers consider that most important value is the spirit. It doesn’t mean necessarily that they do not have material life. The matter is also important in their life, but they are able to transcend it.

Persons with high spiritual intelligence know how to pray, thus they experience many times the fulfilment of their prayers. Their faith is very strong and they focus very well when they pray. When they have doubts they can easily deal with them.

No kind of intelligence is superior to another one. For a certain individual it is important to develop the kind of intelligence required by the activities in which he involves.
