It seems that we always had a concept of God. Many things in this life are beyond our control and beyond our reach.
Think of how vast is the universe, we even do not know if it has an end and the order in which everything in it functions including ourselves is just breathtaking.
Out of logical necessity, such order must have intelligent author whom we called God.
Now His intelligence must be far greater than our own since He designed everything and such intelligence implies will which in turn brings us to a conclusion that He is in fact a Person.
I dare to say that anybody less than what I described above is not God yet in this world of consumerism people seem to decide on their own who their God is.
They choose qualities of God that are the most comfortable to them, religions, faiths, cults and belief systems are continually multiplying.
Just talk to 10 people what they think of God and each one of them will paint for you different picture.
How are you approaching the question of God?
Are you seeking the One who made you or are you making him in your own image?
One thing is certain that when we are dictating the terms of our relationship with God, we deal with mere mental image of someone who is not real.
It is the highest form of deception, utter act of foolishness, because if there is a Creator we must seek Him on His terms, not ours.
