If It Was the End of the World.

What would you do if you knew when the world would end? A set of thought provoking questions over just that.

What would you do if you knew the exact time of the end of the world? Not just when you'll die, but when everything as we know it ceases to exist?

If you were the only person to know this, would you try and spread the word? Or would you stay quiet and maybe only inform a few close friends and loved ones to try and avoid a global panic attack? If you did try and tell the world about it, do you think anyone would really listen?

If you knew the world was going to end at midnight tonight, what would you do? What if you knew it would be a week from next Sunday? Would it make any difference? Would you spend it with your family? Would you stay home or go try and travel to see one last thing before it's all gone? Would you prefer to spend it at your favorite vacation spot where you've always been able to relax?

Would you wait up for the end, or would you try and sleep so that you never know that there was a transition? Would you be wild and reckless and try all the drugs you've ever wanted to but were afraid of becoming addicted or overdosing on? Would you try and finish out the world in a final round of hedonism or would you prefer to just cuddle up and wait for things to come in one last romantic embrace?

Would you try and get in touch with loved ones one last time to let them know that you love them? Would you extend apologies to those you may have wronged or hurt? Could you forgive those who came to you asking for forgiveness?

Would you still go to work? If everyone else stopped working, what would you do to ensure that you still had food to survive until the end? Would you break in a pillage a store for what you needed? Would you rob your neighbor? Or would you look to share what you had with those who had none?

Would it make any difference if you knew that it was the end of the world as described in your religious doctrines? Would you go to church or the synagogue or the mosque? Would you switch faiths if the end matched another faith's doctrines other than your own? Or would you just dismiss is all as a bunch of hooey?

Or would it matter at all since you're already living each day to the fullest, with no regrets or remorse, as though it could be your last?
