During any traumatic interaction with other people, we are left with energies that come from that other person and the mind attempts to rationalise, explain, develop excuses for the behaviour and subsequent outcome, resulting in confusion when the residual energy cannot be shaken. Situations such as this one cannot be resolved because there is no truth in the misperceptions and misunderstandings of differing viewpoints, motives, intentions and behaviour and no logical basis for the actions of another person in any given situation where friction or trauma has arisen.
An effective technique for reaching an understanding of the perspective of another person is based on the possibility that all minds are connected at the level of the collective unconscious and this can be used when the client is guided back to the scene of the trauma to face the offending viewpoint directly, whether this is in the current incarnation or in a previous one.
“Now visualise that you are stepping out of your body and crossing the space between you and the other person. Now step into this persons body, come up into his/her head, turn and look out of this persons eyes and feel your minds merging until you can think his/her thoughts.
Once the mind merge is complete, the therapist then addresses the offending spirit as follows:
“Hey you ___________, what are you doing here? What's happening and what are you doing to_________?”
As minds have been merged, the client will respond as the other person and probing of this nature will continue until the picture is clear from the viewpoint of the other person. This perspective will generally be completely different to the one that the client had previously and as they are now able to see clearly the other person's perspective the situation can be more easily resolved and the residue healed.
It is possible to gain even more insight and information by regressing the client whilst this visualisation is intact and this will allow the client to see clearly the precipitating events and prior connections with the client going back even as far as past incarnations , reviewing the death process as they go, into Spirit, into space and any other location which will assist in dealing with the current issue. This experience often has a remarkable effect on the client relating to their anger issues and lack of understanding of the behaviour of the abuser.
There is also a further step in this process which occurs when the client locates the original traumatic event, interacts with the other party and yet still fails to gain clarity on the issue. When this happens, the other party involved can be directed to step into the “body” with the client and merge minds with both of them .
This is especially helpful in cases of severe abuse (eg childhood abuse) as the client may gain some understanding of the behaviour of their abuser by connecting with them in this non-threatening manner. The spirit of the perpetrator can be guided to an earlier circumstance which is a contributing factor in their abusive pattern and often can be reminded of the incident that put them on their path of violence. Child abuse for example often passes down through family generations and with this kind of exercise, a regressionist can help the client to locate the origin of this behaviour.
As the subject assumes the identity of the other person(s) involved in the trauma, the new perspective offers totally different perceptions of the event and can in turn lead to clearer interpretations and different judgments of the outcome. False perceptions and beliefs relating to any situation can be removed from the afflicted persons energies and dissolved in a brief period of time, allowing for new attitudes and behaviours in the persons current life and this leads to healing and forgiveness.
After the interaction with the other or others is complete, the client must be disconnected from anyone with whom they have been merged and as the person can now acknowledge responsibility for their life's events, there is less blaming of others and a restoration of personal power so that the patern can now cease to be.
To the perpetrators spirit “We thank you _________ for your assistance this day.”
To the client “Separate and come out of his/her mind, step out of his/her body, return completely to your own body and mind. Disconnect completely from his/her energy and fully reenter your energetic space.”
