The greatest “God” is mankind itself, greatness powerful enough to commit achievements such as the miracles of Wilde and Leonardo da Vinci stamp a print not only upon themselves and their era but upon the whole of human kind, creating a print that can never be altered, sealed by time effecting us all forever forming letter blocks within the printing press that churns out life itself.
It is to certain extent like one of those old gramophone recorders but only ever effected by the most profound alterations forever recording a symphony or a song with fine bits linked by lesser bits throughout.
Our duty as mankind then is to forever improve becoming greater just as every musician must push the boundary of his art and try to make CONSISTENTLY great music.
Music has limits of brilliance or Beethoven would now be idiotic and the Beatles would be worse than the Arctic Monkeys if the correlation between standard and time ran parallel.
Is it not possible then to take the greatest clumps of notes by the finest composers in history such as ancient Rome the renaissance or even Victorians Britain and forming a fantasy modern symphony that is our chapter within mankind? We know how its done, we can therefore pick and choose the good bits as we go along and it happens in music all the time.
Mankind never goes beyond a certain point it peaks in places hence our love for history, technology evolves but the standards of humanity never go beyond certain boundaries. It is our emotions and imaginations that control this programmed within the limits of nature and can only therefore be aroused so far.
Should we not then concentrate on shortening the gaps between the peaks in history as much as the improving the elements that make them up, i.e.: vanquish the declines into darkness securing the future filling the dents with our knowledge of the past creating a more consistent great existence for all.
