The American dream. This country was founded by a group of individuals who sent forth a belief that all people have a God-given right to freedom. In the years since, I have seen this country deteriorate. Why? Because we have forgotten the values, hopes, dreams, principals and prayers that this country was founded on.
The Constitution is not simply a piece of paper with suggestions. It is a contract,a covenant between all inhabitants of the United States, and no government power, whether the President or individual has any right to deprive our citizens of life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness.
With this in mind, why is bigotry,hatred,and all manner of oppression so prevalent in our society?
The people have forgotten what freedom means. The government and presidents are becoming self serving rather than servants of the people. People are becoming so caught up in themselves that they are virtually blinded to the plights of their fellow men and women.
To this I say, "wake up!"
Put on those shoes, go out and instead of being detrimental, use your talents and abilities to make your community a better place. We can change the world for the better, one community, city, state, and country at a time
