Do names like Andrew Jackson, Martin Van Buren, Grover Cleveland, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, and Harry Truman bring emotions to your mind? Yes, they were illustrious sons of America.
But generations to come may scarce believe they were Democrats. That says a lot about the status of the political party those stalwarts nurtured painstakingly.
With their vote-bank holding highly polarized positions, the Democratic Party is divided along racial positions.
The white component of their party is already eroded due to evangelical games.
The next group is Hispanics, whose loyalty hinges on legalizing illegal immigration.
Hispanics have already outrun the third group African Americans as the main minority population. With the arrival of Obama, the African Americans have already stalled the chances of a true African American ever becoming a president in this century, if not on this millennium.
Remember how Tiger Woods refused to snatch African American rights and refused to accept Oprah's invitation. As a man of mixed-origin, he honestly believed it was not correct to pose as a true African American and claim anything that was not rightfully his.
Democrats' pet themes like gay and abortion rights actually belong to the realm of personal and private issues to be settled by judicial courts. They are not national issues to be discussed by the legislature.
By giving taxation undue importance in their speeches, they have demonized taxation to frightening levels. Were Americans tax-free under Republican administrations? No, they too were collecting taxes from us.
This shows how wrong the Democratic priorities are. And they show no intention of correcting their wrong pre-occupations.
So at this rate, by the end of this decade, chances are that the Democratic Party as envisaged by their able founding fathers will disappear. In its place we may see three splinter parties founded along racial groups.
That should be music to Republican ears.
I agree to disagree a bit.
It seems as though the
Republican party is breaking
down, especially based on the
last 6 years. The Democrats need
to redefine themselves, but they
are growing in number, due to the
excitment over Bambi, as I call him.
Look forward to reading more.
