Complacency and the American People

Most American citizens do not realize that most dictators that have taken office at one point or another, have done so due to the ignorance and complacency of people.

These politicians have sold an idea to that country that is not real. the people have either been to ignorant or complacent to find out the truth of what is behind these individuals. once these dictator took office was to late.

Many Americans when they read this will probably say that can't happen in this country. well to you Americans out there think about this. while you were watching the world trade centers collapsing did you ever imagine in your wildest dreams that what you were looking at was real?

Till this day whenever I see pictures of the new york sky line its like something is missing. I have not been back to new york after 911 however i have friends that have gone back and have expressed when they walk through ground zero there is emptiness. I don't care how many things get built or even what it will look like, but i am sure there are many out there like myself that it will never be the same to look and not see that beautiful skyline that once was.

After 911 I think most Americans realized that we were volnorable to anything. however time went by the country started to heal and some were a long the line we became complacent again.

I do believe that we as Americans are very good at coming together in a crisis. however we also like to get things back to normal as soon as possible. I am not saying that is a bad thing however we also tend to forget quickly. we like to get back to work the children and just the every day hectic life as soon as possible. many of our politicians count on that. they realize that we as a country do not like to deal with pain for very long. they count that we do become complacent, and are not going to get to involved in our government what for.

our reality shows our sports our gratifactions are more important then anything that might stir up controversy.

Some americans out there will ask themselves why in the world did I vote the way I did in 2004. others of you will ask themselves why didn't I bother to vote or if Idid would it have made a difference.

some of you that voted in 2004 for this administration really felt that you would be safer. now ask yourselves this question do you really feel safer? do you really feel that if they wanted to attack us again they couldn't? if you really believe that they couldn't just take a look at all the illegal imagrents that cross our boarder on a daily basis.

Right now there are two boarder patrol agents serving ten years each for shooting a drug smuggler in the leg. they did not kill this man. the prosecution state the covered up evidence. this drug smuggler has also crossed our boarders more then once. I don't see the media screaming, yelling and putting this out there on a daily basis. I am sure if this would have gotten the coverage that the anna nichole story got those agents would be home with there families. also if this happened to these patrol agent and this immagrent has been able to cross our boarders so easily what makes us think that a terrorist couldn't do the same.

I also don't understand why the democrat aren't screaming and yelling some more about this injustice. you see this is why us as individuals are obligated for our politicians to listen to what we are saying and if they don't out they go.

We do have to make the difference and we are the ones that have to tell our government it is there obligation to make us feel safe here in our own soil. if they can't keep us safe here what make us think we can trust them to keep us safe across the ocean.

That is why in the next election don't just vote and accept the status quo make sure you know what is at stake if you vote for the candidate you are supporting.
