Politics of Change

A political rant from a 2016 Presidential Candidate.

“Things get messed up only because we let them get messed up. I'm not talking America or Iraq, I'm talking people.

We can say: "I don't think so and so is a good idea." Or: "I don't think so and so would be a good president." What I have to say is: "Go out and do something to change this Freak Show we live in. Sure, we can talk, but that doesn't get us anywhere. People talk about how Iraq is the next 'Nam... They want change, they can go there and change it. Put up or shut up. I don't back any one side, Bush, Kerry, they're all the same in the end. A bunch of freaks with not enough experience in one field or another, who, in all possibility, will be labeled as an idiot. Vote for someone who would buck the trend of bad government."

"Vote for your neighbor there's nothing illegal about it. Only we can change the world, and all we can do is whine when someone really does want to make a difference. The people who do this say they want something similar to what they had before. That's wrong. Progress is only made with change, and we've not changed in 50+ yrs. Change is impossible when present events are compared to past. Sure, it may help shape the future, progress, but what good would it do... None. The past is past, future is future. Our future is bleak if we don't do something to change it, ourselves, our ideas, in the near future."

"We create change in this world, because it needs it. Change can come from a simple clothes change, to an invasion of an enemy state. Change is needed not only in the world, but in the United States. Fifty years of stale foreign policy; failing domestic policy; increased drug costs; out of control taxing; failure after failure in fifty years of Republican and Democrat, Democrat and Republican. Failure to help the American people. To resolve these failures, some have said we need political reforms, new laws to help govern. How can we fix these failures, if the failures are the Democrats and Republicans. Our failures are human, and we can only blame ourselves for the troubles in the United States, in the World."

"Our failures are political. The two party system has been corrupted by big business. Democrats and Republicans grab and growl for corporate money, in exchange for tax breaks to the rich, and tax increases for the poor. Politicians who will vote a certain way, politicians who don't care for their constituents. Politicians who look out only for themselves and their corporate allies. We have let them prosper in their ways and continue support of them despite common knowledge. Independent people should vote for the like. Political parties have lost their independence in the last 50 years, and for a change to be made, there needs to be progress. We need a new system. There is almost no doubt of it in this day and age."

"We need a new system when the old system has tried to deny certain rights. We need a new system when the old system seems to forget its own morals. We need a new system when the old system is obviously broken, its that simple. There is only progress with change. We must change the system."
