Republicrats

Politics as a battle. Why not get along?

Here it is August and I am already sick of politics. Why does there have to be so much of “I am better than he or she is”? Why can’t they just put their record out and let the voter decide. Do the politicians think that we are all so stupid that we can’t make that decision for ourselves?

The Democrats, as a party are trying to get back in POWER. And the Republicans, as a party are trying to stay in POWER. It’s as if they are two countries fighting each other like in the olden days when every city King had his own army and every city had defensive walls to withstand attacks.

Why does it have to be this way? When the Republicans are in the Democrats try to do everything they can to make sure they don’t come up with a good record, and the Republicans do the same when the Democrats are in. How is this supposed to help the country? These people are elected to do a job that, supposedly, they know how to do. Why do they have to strut around like little banty roosters trying to make people think they are more important than they really are?

If they are only in the political business to help the PARTY instead of helping the American taxpayers that put them there, then they are of no use to either the party or the people, and the people will soon recognize that fact and they will be out of a job.

Is it possible for elected officials to work together regardless of their party affiliation? I hope so, and I believe it is possible. They really are all Americans aren’t they? They really were all elected by the people weren’t they? The thought that the American people thought they were the best men for the job should be GLORY enough for any one. If you are elected to do a job, DO IT.
