Rosie is Not Exempt

How we as Americans have the right to question our government officials.

For the last couple of weeks everytime i change the channel there is someone making rude and personal attacks on rosie o'donnell. people let it go!

Rosie, who is one of the host's of the view. likes to express her opinion and bring up topics. she is also a woman who feels passionate about certain topics. one which is this administration. ”yes the administration not the country.

For the last couple of weeks it has been a constant attack not only on her comments but also on a personal level which is very childish and unprofessional.

The bottom line rosie has the right to question this governments actions and bring up questions that might get us as americans to actually think.

Wheather her theory's are right or wrong as americans we can research, read and then draw our own conclusions.just becasue our government tells us something it does not make it true. i think we have seen this through out history.

The truth is she sparks curiosity and gets people talking and opens up debates. for some it might even get them to read and actually do a little of their own searching to see if what she says is true or not. in a way this might help americans get more involved in what is being said to us and not just accept everything we are told by the media and by our politicians.

The media has taken everything she says and played it over and over like a non stop tape that you rewind and then replay. however, they don't have any problems editing out parts of her statements then putting it for others to hear. especially, for those that did not see the show on that particular day or on a regular basis. then when they can't get her attention they start with name calling.

First of all rosie is not a journalist or a reporter. she brings up questions that i am sure has crossed the minds of some americans at one time or another.

I would really like to know what she said or done that is so unpatriotic? i have never heard say anything against the troops or this country. she has critized this administration, and lets face it this administration has not acted in the best intrest of the people or our troops.

We had elections in november of 2006 which made it clear that the american people have had enough and this administration continues to do what ever they want.

Many of our proud men and women in uniform have fought in the past in the present and will always continue to fight for the freedoms that we have in this country. rosie is not exempt from these rights.

When we start asking for corporations to fire someone or for them to resign because of comments that might bring up contraversy, we begin to head in a very dangerous path in this country. remember what you are asking for this individual might someday be asked of you when you become in disagreement with a particular administration or government official.

As individuals and americans it is not only our right but our duty to ask questions when things are not going right in this country, speak up when we see that our officials are not being held accountalbe for their actions. that is one of the things that makes this country so great. we the people do have a voice and wheather it is rosie, sandy sheehan, ann coulter or even us as individuals we can make a difference.

Now wheater we want to exacute our rights as americans is basically up to us on which side of the fence we want to be part of.

Amendment 1 - freedom of religion, press, expression. ratified 12/15/1791. congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
