The Most Critical Election Ever

This election year revolves around issues that are key to our countries survival and our way of life. Voting in the wrong candidate could be the end of our nation.

This election could be the most critical election ever for the United States. Never before has our very survival been at stake. The major issues of concern are: Immigration and Terrorism.

The next President must be prepared to confront these two main issues head on, or preside over the beginning of the end.

The Government of this country was founded on the basis of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, as written in the Declaration of Independence of July 1776. Unfortunately, uncontrolled illegal immigration and global terrorism are choking our freedoms and happiness.

The symbol of liberty and freedom has long been represented by the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor since 1886. The statue through its inscription welcomes worldwide unfortunates with "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me; I lift my lamp beside the golden door." But we have been unable to control the endless wave of huddled masses, and wretched refuse.

Theodore Roosevelt, in his later years at the start of the 20th Century, and after his presidency foresaw that the United States would be "brought to ruins" by a "tangle of squabbling nationalities." He became outspoken on issues regarding immigration.

Immigrants, both legal and illegal, are growing exponentially each year. In 2007 there were almost 38 million immigrants living in the US, 4 million more than in 2004 when the immigrant population was 34 million. And this was 4 million more than in 2000. Approximately ½ of the 4 million immigrants since 2000, are illegal. In 1980, 16% were from Mexico; in 1990, 22% were from Mexico; in 2000, 28% were Mexican; and in 2004, 31%. It is expected, that Spanish speaking immigrants, legal and illegal will expand several times in the next few years.

We are becoming weak and over - run with immigrants who are absorbing our benefits and resources including healthcare. It is time to stop the inflow of immigrants and prevent the ruin that Theodore Roosevelt foresaw almost 100 years ago. Immigrants are depleting our Social Security for American born citizens and workers, taxing our healthcare system and directly responsible for the high unemployment figures we see today.

Yet all 3 of the leading presidential candidates; McCain, Clinton and Obama, to some extent support continued immigration. McCain in his web site, sounds more like Theodore Roosevelt than the other 2, but still believes in providing immigrants with opportunity. What about our people? What about those veterans that served their country and now find themselves out of work? Shouldn't we focus more on them instead of immigrants coming into this country to bleed us dry?

Hillary Clinton on her web site - paid for by Hillary Clinton for President - believes in making it easier for immigrants to live in the US. She led the cause to make it easy for states to provide Medicaid and SCHIP benefits to immigrants. She wrote the "Access to employment Act" making it easier for immigrants to get work. She strongly supports the DREAM ACT which provides higher education to immigrants, and she offered an amendment making it easy for family members of immigrants to also come to America under the principle of family re-unification. What about our citizens? What about making it easy for them to get work? What about making higher education easier for our citizens? If the immigrants want to be re - unified with their families, I know how we can do that.

Barack Obama on his web site quotes what he said on the Senate floor on May 23, 2007 "Where we can bring in more foreign-born workers with the skills our economy needs, we should"

I don't need to comment on that. It speaks for itself.

The next President must fortify our borders, and STOP the flow. Stopping the increasing flow of immigrants will help turn the tide on our taxed economy, and reign in our out of control debt.

The best way to fortify our borders is an 8 part system

  1.  Mobilize our military for active border patrol in all off road areas with Mexico and Canada. The mainstay of this effort will be the National Guard of every state, supported and backed up by the Reserves and then the Regular Army. Our military is capable, able and ready. It would be good training for them and a way to help keep their edge with these exercises here at home. The money spent on them will save thousands and millions of dollars over the cost of bearing illegal aliens, much less terrorists that would infiltrate our borders. Let's recruit for the National Guard, an entity that has protected our land for over 230 years. This entity, the mainstay of our National Defense would patrol our borders with the Reserves and Regular Army backing them up, but allowing the Regular Army to be ready for action outside of our borders.
  2. Recruit, train and employ a new enhanced Border Patrol at all checkpoints and main points of entry on all borders. This enhanced Border Patrol would have an overhaul in the same way airport security did following 9-11.
  3. Increase Local and State Law Enforcement in order to actively patrol all back roads along the borders within their respective jurisdictions including hiking trails, bike paths, etc.
  4. Increase Coast Guard security and patrol of all Sea and Water Ports of entry and access into our country. Increase local Marine patrols to supplement the Coast Guard.
  5. Increase aerial surveillance of all borders and ports with Air National Guard, Civil Air Patrol, and Air Reserves, backed up by the Regular Air Units of the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines.
  6. Re-activate the Civil Defense of WWII and Cold War days, utilizing civilian support and logistic organizations and volunteers. There is strength in numbers. Furthermore, this would prepare the nation for the unthinkable, which is inevitable.
  7. Begin construction of a fence in all remote areas that are susceptible for illegal immigrants to cross yet hard to patrol. Increase its effectiveness with high tech features, including the use of high tech fences vs. physical fences.
  8. Complete an aerial security dome with low profile radar and air surveillance against all aircraft types - lite craft, small planes, drones, missiles, etc, that could fly into our air space.

Once our borders are secure, and our aerial security dome is in place, we need to complete the round up of all illegal immigrants and aliens and stop the blood sucking and remove potential terrorists.

  1. Increase immigration agents and local law enforcement to handle this task. All must go - no exceptions!
  2. Those hard working immigrants captured, may gain points to stay, by volunteering for active military service overseas, not in this country, and completing a full tour of 3 years without any derogatory incident. They must also learn to speak English and pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America. These are the same principles and beliefs of Theodore Roosevelt in 1907.
  3. Others will be deported immediately. No exceptions. Access back can only be by legal means and then only following 100% naturalization criteria including the pledge of allegiance to only our flag, and none other, learning to speak English and becoming a loyal American citizen in every way. There is no more room for those that still salute the flag of their country of origin. There is also no room for those that can't or won't speak English.

The more immigrants that enter this country - the more that our unemployment rate will rise, the higher our medical care costs will become - and the more that these immigrants get the Social Security benefits that were earned all of their life by hard working citizens.
