Taxation
Barack believes the current taxes are not working for the middle and lower classes and that we should level it out.
Budget Deficit
He advocates eliminating all tax credits that have outlived their usefulness and restoring the PAYGO policy which prohibits increasing federal spending without a way to compensate or “make up” for the costs.
Immigration
Obama said he will not support a bill that does not provide an earned pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.
Iraq and Iran
Obama stated “I am not opposed to all wars. I am opposed to dumb wars” and advocates that conflict should not be resolved through gunfire, but instead through intelligent reasoning and critical thinking.
Abortion
He believes abortion should be legal no matter what the circumstances.
Environment
He believes global warming is a human-caused phenomenon and should be immediately addressed to benefit future generations.
Same-sex marriage
Obama personally believes marriage between the same sex is wrong however he believes citizens as a whole should have equal marriage rights whether they are the same sex or not.
Death Penalty
Obama believes the death penalty should not be for all killings and should be used according to the severity of the crimes committed.
