One Minute Emotional Management

Emotional management could be very useful for us to control the unintended situation that probably very destructive to us. It can be happen to anybody, anytime and anywhere. Below tips will be useful for us when we facing unpleasant situation.

You can imagine how angry you are when driving down the street with your brand new car and suddenly somebody hit you with serious damage on your car. What would you do with such situation? You can have several feeling and emotion. But, this emotion still neutral, your act that drive you in to the negative or positive situation.

Here is the step of 1-minute emotional management:

Stop

Just stop all your physical and mental activities including your breath. Stop it for 10 second.

Take a deep breath

Take a breath very deep, feel the fresh air fill up your lungs. Take a deep breath, hold a few second and exhale. Do it with in 10 second.

Access great memory

Remember your great past experience, remember how happy you are. You can choose one of your happiest experiences in your bank memory than can be withdraw anytime you need it. Do it with in 10 second.

Realize and response

Back to the current situation and think the best way to handle it. Allow around 30 second to your body and mind to prepare the best action.

Finally, it is up to you to take an action. Emotion is neutral. Your actions that make this emotion have a negative or a positive impact. People say it become a positive emotion or negative emotion (that basically is not true).
