The Affects of Color

The colors you wear can affect or reflect your mood. They can also affect the way other perceive or respond to you.

Blue has a calming affect on you and on those you come in contact with. It generates a feeling of serenity. Orange is a happy color. It makes you feel energetic. When you wear orange people perceive you as a social, vibrant, fun-loving person. Green is often associated with renewal and abundance. It symbolizes prosperity. Wearing yellow may increase your creativity and make you feel optimistic. It is not a good color to wear if you are seeking mental rest. Yellow is an uplifting, cheerful color.

Wearing pink brings out the softer side of your personality. People perceive you as generous and compassionate when you wear pink. They tend to be more open with their feelings because they see you as a good listener. Red is a passionate color. It is an energetic color. Wearing red boost your confidence level. Because it is such a powerful color, it is often best to wear it as a complimentary color or to include red as an accessory to your wardrobe. Purple is another powerful color. Many people associate purple with spirituality and royalty. When wearing purple you may appear to others to be strong and confident.

Choose what color you wear each day by the way you feel or according to the image you want to portray. When selecting a color to wear you should also consider how you want others to respond to you throughout the day. It is important to consider the color of your wardrobe in regard to whether you are going to be in a professional or social setting.

This is an extremely positive and enlightening article which I enjoyed very much. You are right, as pink and purple are my favorite colors to wear and people respond accordingly. I wonder, as I wear black when I'm feeling moody but would like to stay positive and cheerful. Any suggestions on what blacks colored clothing would be best worn?
