The Control Freaks

How many parents have enslaved or tormented their children? How many employers have terrorized their staffs?

Ever met people who always want to do things “his way”? Even the little details/aspects of your life, he wants to dip his finger in it? It's about time we tackle the issue about “control freaks”. How many of us (had)/are still being strangled by these types of people?

But before anything else, let's try to delve deeper. How do these people come about? Where do these traits come from? Yours truly will share some interesting insights with you (of course as usual this is open to arguments)

Control freaks are basically people who are either being controlled by othersS or have in some ways lost control of certain life situations, thus by controlling others they are actually in the process of trying to regain balance in their lives lest they lost their mind. These types of people tend to thrive on other's people's weaknesses.

Adolf Hitler was a very frustrated artist who couldn't find an outlet to his over (almost genius) artistic/creative mind. As a result, he unleashed his anger/frustrations on the hapless Jewish people. Of course, there are surely some traumatic experiences he had with Jews, but had he been given proper opportunity to at least channel off his artistic steam the world could had been spared of such carnage. How many times have we been tormented by tyrannical-demanding-dictator-type people? Then we heard from others that either he is “under-de-saya (afraid of his wife)”, “have a spoiled wife/son/daughter whom he can't control” or is in a “hate-every-minute-of-it situation in work (or home). Even going deeper than that, there are those unfulfilled desires or ambitions in life that leads to this behavior.

How many parents have enslaved and tormented their children by being control freaks? How many employers have terrorized their staffs? Chances are when you try to find time, analyze and get to know the background of the parents/employers, you'll almost always see how it all began. Every behavior has a corresponding reason behind it and it's very important to know where it's coming from. You might not be able to change them (this is a demon they have to slay by themselves) but by changing your outlook, you are actually ridding yourself of one unpleasant person in your life. Also, if you can show them more understanding, more compassion and more love (which is somewhat too much to ask for considering their traits), you might begin to see the inborn goodness in them, which all of us have. After all we are still dealing with human beings, not monsters.
