More and more women find themselves in the embarrassing situation of being deceived by their husband or live-in partner. Usually these men have short-term affairs but in extreme cases they have entirely separate extended families. What are the signs that your partner is “playing away”? Wilma Proops interviewed twenty women who had just got back from the pub. The women were selected to partake in this survey as they had all had experience of relationships with men they termed “cheating, two-timing rats”.
The Sudden Need to Travel and Work Late
Many of the women interviewed by Wilma reported that their partners all suddenly had reasons to be away from home. Often the needs to travel and stay away at weekends were explained by increasing work commitments, particularly meeting with prospective clients. Also there was a sudden need to increase the hours they worked in the day.
You Are Kept in the Dark about Your Joint Financial Situation
In healthy relationships, the women reported, both partners know about their joint financial situation. Partners who keep these matters to themselves and exclude the other partner from them are often the type who will have extra-marital affairs. Without showing receipts and bank statements - by keeping them in a safe or in a separate office for instance - the cheating partner keeps evidence of infidelities hidden.
He Keeps His Mobile (Cell Phone) With Him at All Times
Cheating men will keep their mobiles on silent and ensure it is always inaccessible to their partners. If your partner has always done this he could be the type who will have an affair or is already having an affair. If your partner suddenly adopts this behaviour towards their mobile phone it is highly likely that he has recently started or is starting an affair. TIP: Even if your partner does not display this mobile/cell-phone possessiveness he still could be having an affair. In extreme case deceitful men will purchase a mobile/cell phone specifically to conduct a clandestine affair.
Reasons to See More of His Mates or His Ex-Wife and Children
If a partner suddenly increases the amount of time he spends wife his ex wife, ex girlfriend or his mates, it is highly likely that he is having an affair. Many men will have affairs with their ex-wife or ex-girlfriend - so many so that it should almost be expected.
Sudden Erectile Dysfunction and Low Libido
Sudden erectile dysfunction or low libido are often signs that your partner is having an affair. The reason for the lack of interest in sex is very obvious - your partner is “playing away”.
