Emotion is the feeling that runs deep. Attaching emotion to something is like attaching one heart to it. When the feeling attach to a relationship is peculiarly pleasant. When you feel like keeping him to yourself and for yourself alone. when you unconsciously argue blindly in his favor even when he is wrong. Then you are on track to successful marriage
Time Test
Love doesn't only dream but act. Most often love is built on fantasy which in turn may turn to fallacy. To test the efficacy of true love it be allocated sufficient time at least 3 month in other to distinguish between love and infatuation. Time test is the laboratory where all other tests are carried out.
Distance Test
Creates likeness while too much familiarity brings contempt. If you see him everyday and feel you cant do without him, try go on holiday or go on study leave. Evaluate the impact o his absence on your feeling. If his or your regular visit is becoming boring and you are beginning to loose interest in the relationship? Try creating an artificial barrier. Sometime you don't value what we have until we loose it.
Medical Test
Knowing the medical history of your partner is very important in this era of Sexually Transmitted Infections {STI} such as HIV/AIDS, gonorrhea e.t.c. and other terminal diseases. Blood test will reveal the compatibility of your genotype with that of your partner in to protect the unborn child against blood group related diseases such as sickle cell anemia.
Spiritual Test
Man ideas, value and world view is controlled by his religion belief and the level of his level spirituality. Two cannot work together unless they agree in spirit and principle. An intending couple with two distinct beliefs is like two men walking in opposite direction. Before you tie the knot, make sure both of you agree in spirit or else there will be at home.
Psychology Test
Marriage is meant for mature minds; it is design for adult and not for boys and girls. Intending couples must be mature mentally, especially the man. He should be able to absolve shock, manage conflict, manage men and materials and be able to take far reaching decision.
Economic Test
A man should be able to cater for his family while the wife especially in this age does provide a good back up for the husband. A couple to be should have reasonable source of income or have potential. A man with no potential or source of income would be a liability to his wife and the society and vise-visa. Don't get carried away with affluent background without good training. He would end up a failure.
Social Test
Though men are born equal but do not grow equally. There are sharp differences in individual social status; some achieved some ascribed. Human character is influenced by his socio-economy background. Dating across social strata has is attendant problem which is due to differences in social class. This can be solved by seeing the real person in your partner and not his personality. Also, the one in upper echelon should bring himself to the level of the his/her partner.
