Expressing Love

Question of how should love be expressed

For the past couple months I have been thinking about how each person expresses love for someone else. Non-verbal communication is as important as verbal communication is when it comes to expressing love. Although a hug or a kiss may not be enough and more is needed. If a person cannot answer the question “why do you love me”, does that mean that the answerer doesn’t truly love the questioner, or does it mean that the love just cannot be put into words?

Is it enough to simply say “I love you” or is there more to it? Can a person know how much they’re loved, or how special they are with only those three little words? From time to time should a person profess their undying love with more than “I love you”, but with “I love you because. . .?” Should a person goes to unique lengths to show someone else their importance and specialness?

A couple should have special ways of showing how important each other is. Ways that are unique to them and not used with an ex. Love is a special thing and should be expressed in a special way. Write a poem, sing a special song (out of the blue), create a romantic evening (something meaningful to both parties).

Love is something that should be express/shown not hidden – at least not the one that’s loved. Love shouldn’t be something that is hard to express, but the easiest thing expressed. If the person in your life the most important thing in it, then that person should know it and should SEE it in the things done. A post-it by the bed, or even dinner for two with a romantic movie. Love is such a delicate thing that can easily die if hidden and not expressed. Let love live and be seen

Jenn,
I read your article. My wife and I will be married seventeen years this coming August. She has inspired every love poem I've written for Triond. There are many of them she hasn't read, but there are quite a few she has. Love poetry is the expression of true happiness a person feels with someone else. She admits my poetry at times dazzles her to the point of euphora.

Great article!
