Why are so many people depressed these days? Why are there so many guys/gals pressured to breaking point? It all boils down to one key question: What's your key priority in life at this very moment? Are you doing what's really on your top-priority list?
Case in point: Here is a man whose priority in life right this very moment is his career-on-hand. Chances are when you throw him ton loads of work, he'll love it, but when you talk about some other topics such as spirituality or family he'll just brush you aside and continue with his work. Nothing wrong with that really, after all he is happy with his career direction right now. What happens tomorrow is another issue to be tackled. For the time being he/she is in cloud-9 in as far as his job is concerned. Why? Because that's his top priority right now. The same goes when he/she prioritize spirituality (or his/her family)..
Tension starts when your top-priority right now is your career and you are going nowhere with it or currently tied up with some trivial domestic matters. Or the other way around when you prioritize spirituality (or family) and here is your office pestering you late at night with some work-related issues. Eventually you have to accept that it's going to be swinging back-and-forth between career (work) and family (relationships and personal issues). When you had your fill with work, you want to jump to the other side, just as when you had your fill with family (or personal issues), you will be raring to work again. Actually we need to swing back and forth to maintain that zest in life. Burnout happens when you are tired, overworked and constantly fighting against the current while boredom occurs when you are beginning to get restless and itch for some action. But the most important aspect that needs nourishment all the time is your spiritual side because when you are in harmony with it, your career (work), personal life and family aspect will automatically balanced themselves out.
It's all about balance of everything, setting priorities & accepting the consequence when you opt for one aspect over the other…Some people will work their ass-off for half-year, burned-out, opt out, then after some time will itch for actions again after certain intervals..Yet there are some remarkable persons who can do it on a daily-basis..meaning they can balance everything in a per-24 hour basis…These people rarely experience pressure, depression & tension coz in-between work, they find time to enjoy things, find time for their friends & loved-ones..That's why blessed are those who end up making a living of their passion in life coz these people actually never worked a day in their lives.
Why you wonder am I using the term “AT THIS VERY MOMENT??” coz priorities can change just in a snap..A sudden realization, an event or sometimes it just happens out-of-the-blue and OUR PRIORITIES IN LIFE can make a 360 degree turn…Just be constantly aware of what it is & in case one day when u wakeup thinking differently it's perfectly normal coz it happens to everyone, everyday..just accept it as REVELATION.
