Seven Reasons to Turn Down a Marriage Proposal |
|

He's wonderful and he's all yours. But wait, should you say "yes" when he gets down on bended knee? Here are some reasons to say "no". |
- The guy is a creep and you wouldn't date him let alone marry him (Yes, I have had a guy use a marriage proposal as his opening line)
- Your gut instinct is to run away (You may care about each other deeply, but if you're not ready then you're not ready)
- He's sweet and you love him but you're not in love with him (Yes, loving someone vs being in love are different things)
- You're pregnant (Not a good reason, trust me. Yes, baby needs a father if possible, but marriage is not always the best way to keep baby's daddy close)
- The proposal is a practical joke... (See number 1)
- He's abusive or neglectful. If you think things will get better after the wedding, think again. They always get worse.
- You want a big wedding. The groom is almost optional and you'll say yes to the first guy who asks.
