Love is in the air. All of us are feeling in love with somebody else. We have our crushes, ideal man/woman, and of course, special someone. It is indeed normal for human beings to fall in love and enjoy the beauty of nature in the arms of the chosen ones.
Most of the time, we don't want to stay away from our special ones. We always want to be at their side and spend the whole day looking at their beautiful and handsome faces. But there are times that we have to challenge ourselves and follow the path away from them. I'm not saying that we will stay away from them forever…. What I mean is sometimes, we have to be away from them due to educational, employment or other reasons which would hinder us from being in the arms of our love ones especially in times when they have problems, worries, and other things in mind.
Miles away, we opt to send them text messages, call them over the phone or talk to them with the use of web cameras. We try to communicate with them so that we will be able to ease the feeling we have inside our hearts. Maybe, simple “I miss you!” would do just to show to them that we miss them and we love them so much despite the distance between us.
In this article, I am not discouraging you from having long distance relationship. I would just like to emphasize the weaknesses of this type of relationship and its aftermath………
First, whenever we are far from the one we love, we just say: “I love you!” through the phone. But is it true? Will the person on the other line believe what we said? Or in other words, will they be convinced on what we are telling them? Because there is a great possibility that our voice may not sound convincing and that they might think that we are coming very unromantic and cold to them. These questions must be taken cared of by us so that we will be able to maintain the check and balance of the love we have for each other.
The second one is attention. It is evident that when we are far from the one we love, we tend to miss them. They will always be in our heads even if we are at work. We really want to make sure that they are safe by day and night and that they are comfortable in the place where they are. Because not at all times we are with them and we don't know what they are doing, we try to call them up in the middle of the night, or we can ask our friends to drop by just to check if our love ones are already at home, then come by, checking if their lights are on.
For married couples, especially, long distance relationship is a no-no because this might cause heartbreak in any party. You know, there are lots of temptations out there or shall I say tempting ladies and guys who might ruin your day or will break the spirit of marriage that you have with your partner. It is advised that married couples should have to stay together so as to keep away from temptations.
Actually, there still other reasons why you should have to stay away from long distance relationships. Anyway, it is your choice and it's a case-to-case basis. My experiences may not be the same with yours. So, see it for yourself and then decide. Only you know what's better for you. But don't forget: “The end justifies the means!”
