The Friend Ship

A thoughtful insight into the often fleeting nature of opportunities to make friends.

As it sails across distant oceans, people can be seen jumping on and off in a perpetual motion of flying limbs. Sometimes pathetically, other times passionately. Always changing course but never slowing down. Some people are too scared and just watch sadly as the vessel leaves port without them. “Wait come back, I've changed my mind!”

”Sorry, you'll just have to wait till next time - whenever that may be.”

“Just be ready, OK?"

The Party Animal

Nobody sees the dark side of the party animal. That side only appears after every person has left the scene of the social gathering known as the "party". Alone is when all party animals are at their most vulnerable. Quiet reflection is this species' worst fear. There is nothing sadder than a quiet reflective party animal. They exist all over the World and most of the time are sombre, yet agitated, either relentlessly performing menial chores or sleeping fitfully, desperately trying to block out the quiet light. This is their existence, until the next party frenzy is stirred. Now they're truly happy again, briefly. Ah, the sad and fun party animal.

Laughter

Here it comes; ah there it goes again…until next time. Try to hold on to it for longer next time. Better still, start each day with a hearty dose, just to kick start things. Walk out your door and take it to work with you. You never know, it may just catch on and everyone will want one. Heaven forbid you might spread it! What would happen then?

The Reflection

Reflecting on your reflection is dangerous business. It clouds your eyes. Remember always to look in the mirror with the eyes of your body closed and those in your heart open. Double vision does not allow you to see anything clearly, least of all your heart's condition.
