What can I say? Where should I start? I want the entire world to know about my wife. There are no words that could properly express my feelings for my wife but if I had to I guess I could call her extra ordinary, the greatest, the most loving, the most beautiful and I could use any number of hundreds of other words to reassure the world that without a doubt she is the best girl in the world.
You have to understand our story to appreciate it so you can be the judge once I'm done. I am the most confident person in the world that you will all agree with me when I’m done.
My name is Dale and I am the luckiest guy in the world because I am married to Jackie. 16 years ago I started a job in the oil patch in Alberta, Canada. With working in the oil patch you work away from home a lot. Usually on average you’re away for at least 2 weeks at a time but there have been times I was gone for over 60 days at a time. So just a rough estimate I would say in the last 16 years I have been away from home for close to 80% of the time.
So far I realize this story sounds kind of blah but please hang in there because the best part of this story is about to begin.
Where oh where do I start. I’m just going to write and let my thoughts flow. Over the 16 years that I have worked away from home Jackie has been the back bone in our family.
She has raised 3 boys. 20, 16 and 15. Jackie pays all the bills, buys groceries, cooks meals, cleans house, and plays mom and dad to our 3 boys. On top of all that she works 60 hours a week managing her own convenience store. But the high light of all this is that no matter how bad things get she never complains.
I don’t know how I would manage in my life without her. Jackie has been my wife for over 18 years now and in all those years the only thing I would change is my appreciation for her. It would have been higher through out all the years. Jackie is my best friend, my lover and most importantly my soul mate. I can’t even begin to imagine what my life would be like with out her.
After 18 years I still can’t get enough of her smile. I absolutely love making love to her. I couldn’t imagine not growing old with her.
Jackie has given up so much over the years for me and my boys. No matter what I do I could never pay her back. Jackie is by no means a materialistic girl. Hell in fact her two favorite places to shop are value village and Wal-mart.
I could write for days and days about my wife but I think I am going to sum it up now.
For all you guys out there I beg you not to take your spouses for granted. Enjoy every moment that you get to share with them. Respect them and most of all love them.
I still work away from home and my commitment to Jackie is that I tell her I love her every day no matter what. I will never cheat on her and most of all I will always love her.
For all of you who found this story boring then you don’t understand how to love your wife and for those of you who enjoyed it please give your spouse a hug and a kiss tonight and be sure to tell them you love them.
So in conclusion I would like to dedicate this story to my wife and just once more tell her I love her.
