Wanted: Serious Mate

There are questions everyone should ask before getting serious. This will save everyone pain and suffering in the long run.

Occupation

What do you do for a living? How long have you worked there? These two questions must be asked casually on the first day. It is good to see if this person is committed, reliable, and passionate about his/her work by asking what they do and how long. How long they have been at a particular job can be indicative of financial stability, ability to hold a job, and no issues with commitment. By asking these questions, you will see if that person has the same work ethics ( lazy or hard worker) as you do. A lazy person who is physically attractive will lost their charm over time. Opposites do attract but that is no reason to go to extremes to prove that sometimes they don't.

Financial Stability

Do you consider yourself a shopper or a saver? If you are a frugal person and the person you are dating spends extravagantly, you will have problems when you get married and the bills don't get paid or you can't build your retirement up because your mate spends it faster than you can put it in the bank. Maybe, he or she spends it foolishly on gambling or on high-tech gadgets that they never use.

Personality

Describe your hobbies and sports? If you are an outdoors person and your mate prefers to stay indoors, this could be trouble. The type of sports they like can indicate this. Recreation is a way to relax and if your mate doesn't relax in a similar way you do, it could mean trouble in paradise. It could also create distance between you too and cause some ill feelings. How can you share your life with this person if they are never around?

Couch Potato or Sports Fan?

How much time to you spend in front of the television? This is a great question to find out if he is a couch potato and you are not. Ask him his favorite show, this will tell you about what type of person he is. He/She may say they only watch sports. They probably will tell you their favorite team and go on and on about it. You will know from this answer whether to stay or move on to the next bachelor.

Atheist or Religious?

If you are religious or believe in God and your date believes in Zeus as god and wants you to join his or her worshipping, this could be a problem. If you are a hard core religious person this will cause your spirit a dilemma. This is question is a must to ask to avoid all complications and fights later. Don't go into a relationship thinking you can change them. You can't. They have to want to change. Ask them what they believe in right away.
