In the beginning of creation, soul mates were created by God so that the divine soul attraction between a man and a woman would cause man to leave his mother and father and cling to his mate.
When a male and a female are attracted, they are true soul mates only when they are united in harmony and unison in body, mind and soul, then they become one flesh with two minds, two souls and two bodies in the pursuit of the same ideal. Later on with the loss of feeling and pure love in their hearts, they found they had lost the ability to attract their true soul mates by the required divine magnetism and found instead impure hearts in the wrong companions; that is when marital difficulties started. To protect their unsuited spouses from mistreatment, they were given the decree of divorcement by Moses. The law of divorcement given by Moses was ignorantly misinterpreted by men as an annulment or desecration of this law.
To correctly understand the meaning of the words soul mates, marriage, divorce and the metaphysical truths concerning the divine purpose of marriage, we must go back to the beginnings. In the beginning there was no law of divorcement; men and women were to live naturally and free from sexual dangers because they were able to choose their true soul mates guided, first, by pure feelings in their hearts; sexual and mental affinity was secondary therefore they had no need to separate. The original divine law of marriage was the marriage of two souls attracted by divine magnetism not by animal magnetism. Those who under the influence of temptation discard their true soul companion and marry another for sexual purposes are breaking the law of soul union and it is committing adultery and must prepare to face the karmic consequences. Likewise, anyone who has been divorced for being unfaithful and decides to engage in the enjoyment of lust as a substitute to finding a true soul mate is in the same manner guilty of adultery.
The Oriental scriptures explain that God infused in men half-soul forms meaning one half is a feminine form and the other half is the masculine form, a balance of positive and negative, reason and feeling. Man is reason, woman is feeling and these two forms eventually must reunite as true soul mates. The perfect spiritual soul union was created so that the woman would uncover mans concealed feelings and the man would uncover the concealed reason in the woman. At the beginning there were true men for every true women and true women for every true men and if they would live rightly, they would automatically be drawn together but then the original man and woman fell from their divine state of awareness sacrificing the spiritual joining of feeling and reason through physical sex and thus they became identified with their physical form. Without knowledge of the basic truths, the idea of soul mates is completely misleading in this world where relativity exists. Half soul (man or woman) can be identified, as either or, only on the plane of creation for the true nature of the Self (transcendent spirit) is forever free from sex identification and duality.
When two souls unite with spirit and bring out the wholeness in each other, that joining together is a real marriage between soul mates. The more they become united in spirit, the less they think about sex; the stronger the sexual union, the lesser the spiritual union. The stronger the spiritual union, the stronger the pure feelings of the heart; it is in this state when two souls become one flesh with two bodies and two minds. This is a true soul marriage between soul mates as planned by God. A true soul marriage between soul mates must have a spiritual foundation or it becomes a chance union as compared to the animal kingdom. The creation of marriage was based upon spiritual love and without spiritual love, the law of nature rules, the same that rules the union of animals and cannot be deemed a union of divine souls in a true marriage.
People who are materially minded fill their hearts with impurity, misuse their will and reason and cannot attract their rightful soul mate. Dont expect a fulfilling and lasting marriage without spirituality. Do you want to be loved? Men and women who want to be loved should not marry unless they are sure they are well-matched as soul companions. The efforts to find ones true life companion arises from the souls natural desire but the wicked forces that often misdirects people to the wrong path in discovering their real soul mate are external beauty, animal magnetism, lust, selfishness, physical attraction and monetary gain. Most often misguided individuals under the guise of seeking their soul mates even come across someone they think as their soul mates in bars, dance clubs and alleys.
The instinctive desire to find the ideal soul mate is heaven born but this desire can never be satisfied from sexual experiences. How can one develop divine personal magnetism? The ideal male or female develops divine magnetism by not scattering precious life energy on foolish, loveless sexual activities and through divine magnetism she or he can draw the right soul companion on the dream plane, earth plane or even the astral spheres. Spiritual candidates in marriage should always observe moderation in sexual relations and through divine friendship, loyalty and service expand ones consciousness. A noble way to live in a real marriage is to build, with the spirit of love, a divine institution to propagate the species and create spiritual children as intended by God.
Many Children who are born out of animal magnetism are brought up in dysfunctional families; this is one of the reasons of the current conditions in todays world. One of Gods holiest laws is the creative principle and it is important to know there is no sin within it, but the inherent spiritual and physical danger in its misuse.
