What is Real Love

Some people think that I am telling my life story; others think that I am telling someone’s secrets. I say it’s none of your business, as long as the story is being told. The purpose of the story is to let people know that there is real drama in everyday life. So much drama, that we have to pick up a science fiction book and in our subconscious minds say that it’s only a story and no one was harmed. Well I guess that is the reason that I don’t watch soap operas, because the world is so filled with everyday drama that I don’t have time to watch and figure out someone else’s life story. I have definitely been through the storms, and so have many others, that why I write this to let most people know that they are not alone. Others go through the same everyday drama that you go through and think that it is only your problem. Is this the sign of the world being damned? Or, God not trying to tell us something, but putting it before our eyes only for us to make an excuse of the reason why it happens? You are the judge?

Early this morning Denise decides to sleep late, not only does she realize that the man that she has been seeing for six years, Clay, has been cheating on her, but she notices that his early routine has changed. He no longer gets up as early as he used to. Is it because the seasons have changed or because he no longer sees the other woman and doesn’t have to see her off to work anymore. This is me looking in and I am going to tell you what I see. I see a couple that has been together for so long and have made so many mistakes together that no matter what happens, all they know is each other. He isn’t going anywhere and se isn’t either. So why complain anymore just get use to the problem. If you haven’t got married in this long what makes you think that he will marry you in the long run, and who’s to say that this is what you both want anyway? This is the question that runs in the minds of woman everyday when will I get married and how will I know if he is the one. Like my great-grandma says, “You will know if he is the one or not, you can just tell.” Well thank God for great-grandma, but they don’t make them like great-grand daddy, may he rest in peace. This new breed of a man is very complex. I have never seen so many men that stay in the mirror more than woman do, not only do that , but get there hair done more than woman do. This new breed of brother is very suspicious; I just wish they only knew how much.

Shelia contest, the other day she was cleaning the apartment and noticed something that seemed a little strange. Now Shelia and Rob have been living together for 3 years and everything has been okay, until one day. It hits her in the face. She reaches down to pick up his laundry and noticed something odd. Rob’s under wear have blood in them. I know what you are thinking 2+2=4, but let me put something on you here. Just because the sum is 4 doesn’t mean that he is having sex with a man. Could he have hemorrhoids? It is permissible but is it true. Now let me tell you what I see. I see a woman who should have; if he is gay did the math before hand. Check out his friends, if he has some bi-sexual friends or homo-sexual friends, nine times out of ten, he has engaged in this type of act before. Or maybe he mentioned to her before about him having hemorrhoids and she didn’t listen to him. She just ignored him like she always does.

It’s been 4 months and Maya has been sneaking in and out odd times of the night. Her man Keith has been noticing her peculiar act and just let her do what she did. She would say that she was kicking it with the girls and having drinks with her co-workers, now let me add to this story that her shift is 5p.m. to 1a.m. and she works overtime on weekends. Keith is at home all alone while she is at work. Now they keep in touch on her breaks and they call each other from time to time, just to say, “I love you.” Oh please, this is so old. If they only knew. Maya decides one day that she was going to leave work early and comes home to Keith, but little do Keith knows, Maya is on the way. She enters the door to find Keith with another woman. Now I know what you thinking, it’s about to get UGLY. Maya walks out in disbelief and realizes that he has not only been doing this all along, but she can’t get mad because her conscious want let her. You see Maya has been sleeping around too, but not with a guy, but with a girl. Yes, I said it, Maya is a bi-sexual woman, and Keith had no idea. Let me tell you what I see. Keith thought he was smart and wanted to get over on Maya and thought that she was just that dumb to keep falling for his lies. Or maybe he felt neglected and was seeking comfort else where. This still doesn’t make it right men. And Maya, girl you need to get your priorities straight either you gone have the cake or the ice cream you cant’ have both cause it just ain’t right. Whether it is with a man or a woman, it is still cheating. Maya could have easily said no to the co-worker, explained her situation, and lived a happy life. So does this make them stay together because they both made mistakes?

What does a real relationship consist of anyway? What ever happened to unconditional love, trust, loyalty, and all the other things that make a healthy relationship? Have the ancestors that died before us bury this secret with them in the grave. These types of concerns shouldn’t be on the minds of neither partner of the relationship. A healthy relationship is self explanatory it is just what it is, a healthy relationship. It is not strenuous, depressing, or neglecting each others feelings. And by all means don’t think that just because one particular person is your significant other mean that they are your personal slave. This is not healthy at all. But let me get off of the men for second and talk about the ladies. Ladies and I do mean ladies, not whores, tramps, sluts, and all the other women that have to sleep around with other people’s man to feel appreciated. I know for a fact that there are such type women because I have been one of those women, and have had friends that only sleep with men that already have women. Hate to put you out there like that, but it is wrong. If you keep treating your self like trash sooner or later the trash will need emptying and that’s just what you will feel inside empty and alone. Nobody will want you if you are all burned out and ran down and the only thing you know how to do is open your legs and make babies. What about cooking, cleaning, and making sure his needs are taken care of? This way your man doesn’t have to look for what he needs, because it’s already at home. And men do us ladies a favor if you ain’t ready don’t waste our time, because there is a man that is out there just waiting to take your place. Please believe.
