Why Do You Doubt God?

No one has ever seen electrons, protons, atoms, or molecules. But nobody raises any doubt as to their existence. Why not?

Nobody has ever seen the atoms, molecules and other fundamental particles like electron, proton, neutron, photon or quark etc? Not even by scientists with the help of most powerful microscopes. This is only our assumption that these exist. According to some scientists, probably we will never be able to see these infinitesimal fundamental particles in future also?

Scientists have only some evidences, information and a little glimpse about the existence of the atoms, molecules and other fundamental particles. Since billions of years from the beginning of universe these were in existence along with billions of galaxies and stars, but scientists have come to know about them only recently.

Even today we don't know their actual shapes, color, actual size and the material inside them. We have thousands of unanswerable questions about them. Scientists have failed to create even a single particle out of nothing. We don't know who created these particles? What was His aim? Who created the Mathematical laws, which govern the matter and non-matter throughout the universe? Is it not strange that all these particles are exactly alike throughout the vast universe?

It is stranger that nobody doubts on their existence and raise any question, but so many doubt on the existence of God. While no scientific theory can be explained fully, without acceptance of existence of God. None has ever proved that God does not exist, but billions have witnessed the existence of God in the past. Existence of prehistoric Scriptures is the greatest evidence of existence of God. The non-existence of proof of existence of anything is not a proof of its non-existence.

Most of the scientists believe in God, but they are not coming forward to accept openly the existence of God by the sciences.

Great article,
Half the problem with society is that when you mention the word "God", they think of a man in the clouds with a white beard.
It is more difficult to perceive an intangible presence, existing in all things.
I also think that religious text can hinder understanding, as people take literal meanings, (which with careful consideration can have many meanings) and religious organistions tend to encourage literal belief.
Religion and science are not that far apart in some aspects of their search for the meaning and understanding of life - some people however will only trust one or the other.
I agree however that we should not get smug with what we know and what we have achieved, but examine closely the things which don't quite fit into our equations and take the bigger view.

Actually, some subatomic particles have now been photographed with the electron microscope. Innumerable experiments and, by now, everyday engineering applications based on the existence of these particles work every time. Nothing in religion matches this. In no manner can we pray to God and have consistent results. This is explained, of course, by God being both independent and unknowable, but is indistinguishable from the alternative explanation that God does not exist and the results of prayer are explainable by chance.

Mr. TGrinnalds probably does not know that there are limitations of electron microscope. Nothing can be photographed if its size is less then the wavelength used in the microscope. We have not been able photograph the atomic & subatomic particles. The photographs are of there existence only, not of the actual shape, size, form & color.

sometimes i doubt God... but in the end no one could beat the theory of God.

\"God existance is neither provable or disprovable. Nor is the asumption that there is an invisible apple on top of my head. To me this invisible apple and god have the same credibility.\" I would never enter into an argument about the existance of god but I could safely recite the above statement.

This whole universe ( including my body and the feelings) is in my mind. Is it an illusion or not I do not know. Does it matter? Last time I felt hungry, I had to eat.

I think science(ism) is simply another religion.:
1: assume that you exist and senses tell you the truth (whatever truth is).
2. Assume that other people that you see also exist and they are similar to you.
Do a physical experiment (observation). Let another person do that same experiment (observation. If similar observation, make a theory out of it. believe it.

That is more or less what science is. Also what most of us do.

God based religion:

1. Take it for a fact that god exists.
2. Explain everything based on the first assumption.

What I think an interesting thing to do is to study the very thing that created god and observes science. The Mind.
