Antibodies: A Review

In this original novel by Kevin J. Anderson, based on Chris Carter's characters from The X-Files, FBI Agents Mulder and Scully are on an adventure filled with mystery, unexplained deaths, and a secret weapon that could save humanity.

The agents travel to Oregon to investigate the destruction of the DyMar facility, a research lab that was experimenting with nanotechnology. And through it all, shady government officials watch their every move.

This X-Files story is very intriguing, and it brings you right into the action from the very beginning. Mulder and Scully are at their peak as characters, with a great mix of smart wit, playful banter, and the skeptic-believer arguments all wrapped up into these fifty chapters. At 268 pages in paperback, this book ends up being a very fast read if you get caught up in all the action. Throughout the story, there are twists and turns that make you want to keep on reading.

The only downside to this book is that true Mulder and Scully fans probably will not get as much attention to them as they expect. At least half of the book is dedicated to developing the story of Jody and Patrice Kennessy, the family of Dr. Kennessy of the DyMar Laboratory. And while their story is an integral part of Mulder and Scully's case, their opinions and actions are not followed as much as they are in other X-Files fiction novels, including Ruins and Whirlwind.

Overall, this book is an exciting read that will keep you in suspense for much of the book. You will not be able to put it down, and the ending will give you chills. A definite must-read for any fan of The X-Files.
