Redirecting Sexual Energy
A chapter in Napoleon Hill's “Think and Grow Rich” mentions about the author's findings that most successful men are “highly sexed” people. Sounds interesting? It's our sexual energy.
Sexual energy is still energy. It is also governed by the law on energy transformation just like any other energy forms. (Hope this claim doesn't stir reaction from experts.) Believe it or not, our sexual energy can be redirected into creative energy driving us to more noteworthy endeavors and fueling us to achieve greater heights rather than wanton sexual pleasure.
How do we redirect our sexual energy then?
Redirecting our sexual energy is different from containing it. It takes its natural course as we direct ourselves to the achievement of our goals. It doesn't mean we have to forcibly and willfully enforce it. As we intensify our desire and zeal for the fulfillment of our purpose, without our knowing it, it happens.
However, our focus should not only be limited to the professional and financial aspects of our lives. The goals we set must be characterized by balance. Every aspect of our lives must be well represented by such goals. Balance brings harmony to our lives and makes us feel whole and complete.
It doesn't mean that we abstain completely from sex. It just calls us to rechannel our sexual energy so as not to dwell too much on promiscuity. Rechanneling of our sexual energy can help us achieve our fullest potentials. Let ourselves be along with George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and William Shakespeare in the list of the world's most successful men.
