Sex, How Do You Like It – More, More, More

Doesn’t matter where you are selling it or whom you are selling it to. Everyone is a buyer.

I apologize for messing with your head but this is not about the sex you thought you were going to get (jees, what did I just say?). As it says in my profile, I just write about whatever comes to mind. And while sex does come to mind often enough, I was not now just thinking about it (maybe a little later). The title of this piece is partially taken from an old song performed by Andrea True, a porn queen from the mid 70’s. And I think it is a good fit.

I was reviewing my content to see where I had been lately in a writing sense and was titillated (it just happened again) at the view history. Not too surprisingly any title that even hinted that the content was sexual in nature was very, very popular. No disrespect intended but, Triond is a pretty tame crowd and is certainly not given to erotica and sexual adventure i.e., I wouldn’t have thought that Henry Miller or even Harold Robbins were your most popular authors. However, I’m starting to wonder if I could be wrong! My view history says More, More, More.

So I was thinking that I should share this important fact with everyone. If you want to increase your viewer ship I suggest that you include the word SEX in your titles no mater what the content really is. Here are a few examples:

Sex In The Morning – This will be a poem about a beautiful Sun Rise
Sex On A Boat – This will be a Travel Review for a Cruise Line
Sex The Way It Could Be – A Medical Report about MED

Seriously (well, as serious as I can be) it is clear that sex sells, as the boys in advertising will always tell you. Doesn’t matter where you are selling it or whom you are selling it to. Everyone is a buyer. Aren’t those advertising bums just scoundrels? Preying on out most tender emotions!

I, of course, am susceptible as well and stop my submission search at the first hint of sexual content on Triond. And I can’t say that I haven’t been disappointed either. I can’t tell you how excited I become reading all your passionate poetry and confessions of the heart. Its what I live for! I am deeply touched and moved every day (roll of the eyes). Why just yesterday I found the word breast and in another submission someone said … you better sit down this …. Arouse! That was it for me I had to stop and catch my breath.

Now I hope you have made it to the bottom of this piece before removing me as a friend and blocking all further submission because I am just playing with everyone for some fun and easy writing on a late Friday afternoon. I honestly do like your poetry and heart felt stories. And I am not given to reading erotica – I find it lacking.

Everyone keep up the good work!  Hey, anyone have a good Santa Clause story? You know, the type where he creeps into the wrong kind of house!

Passionate poetry, yes but vulgar crap, no way! There's nothing wrong with having a healthy sex life or expressing your love for one. I guess it depends on how you sell it. I'm really not into the vulgar sleazy crap but everyone loves a good true love story. Nice point, Rj, and well written.

I think this occurred somewhere around Niagara Falls, NY about 10 or a bit more years ago... an extremely religious, nearly fanatically so, family moved into a house on ..."Sodom Avenue." After having moved there, they realized the jokes and such such a street name provoked, were offended and eventually and -entirely upon their clearly superior moral grounds-, decided to relocate. Again....

-They moved across town ... There new address? Seaman Street ("Semen" Street.)

Sad how we all get intrigued and curious whenever that word comes up. Doesn't work as well on the ladies - we prefer romance to erotica. I keep reminding people that God invented sex and gave us the sex drive that we have (or used to have). The only restriction He put on it was to keep it in the marriage.
Here's a romantic poem for you:
They met at the crossing at twilight;
They'll never meet there again.
For one was a speeding motorist;
The other, a railroad train.
(I think this poem is copyrighted. I read it in a poetry book when I was 9). If you are guessing my age, I am old enough to have that song running through my head without playing the video!
