T-mobile G1

The T-mobile G1 is the first Android phone. Android is Google's operating system. It is an open source operating system.

The G1 is a touch screen phone combined with a track ball and a QWERTY keyboard. So, unlike the iphone, you can type and still have a full screen view. The trackball makes it easier for you to scroll down pages if you're used to Blackberry's.

The G1 comes with very cool applications installed to it. Google maps is in it. In Google maps you can see places in street view. This means you can look around 360 view of the street. (here is a link to video of street view video.

Another app called shop savvy let you take a picture of the code-bar of items on stores so you can compare the prices of the same item at other stores near you. But then again, wouldn't it be weird to go to a store and start taking pictures of code-bars? (yup)

With pros there comes cons. One pro is that the G1 has a 3megapixel camera with auto focus. But, like the iphone, you can't record videos and the G1 is a 3G phone but t-mobile doesn't have as many 3G connection as other carriers like Verizon or sprint.

I recommend you to buy this phone if you are planning to buy a phone soon because with all that apps and many more, its only priced for $180 in US and free in UK(with a 18-month plan)
