Inexpensive Christmas or Hanukkah gifts with prices:

  1. A clip from a plant in your garden or home in a pretty pot from the dollar store
  2. Homemade jelly or jam
  3. Home baked goods from you or a church bazaar
  4. A video or DVD of a special event. Can be cheaper if you DIY for $ 3 and under.
  5. A picture calendar for 2009 of many of the sights that person would like. Staples does this well and inexpensively. Suggested price $20
  6. A phone card. Everyone needs to call someone sometime. These come in small denominations.$8 to $20
  7. For little ones, make up a coloring book and crayons gift baskets. Dollar store total $4 or less
  8. For adults make up some tea or coffee gift baskets. Buy at dollar store for $ 5 total
  9. Subscription to favorite magazine or periodical. Price varies from $5 to $12
  10. A festive welcome matt for the front door to apartment or home. Found at Wall-mart for under $7
  11. Colorful napkins wrapped around fruit and put in decorated box or basket. All non edible items found at Wal-Mart for total of $10
  12. Book of stamps. No matter how we try, we can't do away with the postal system. Under $5
  13. A cloth grocery bag. This saves the environment and is a great gift to get/give.
  14. A coupon saying you will give them a hair salon treatment of their choice. They can let you know later what they chose. Eliminates expired or lost store gift cards. Might be $30 and upwards.
  15. Table placemats in color of their preference. Dollar store for $1 each
  16. Blank book for journaling or trip keeper etc. Wal-Mart for $3
  17. Invitation to go riding around to look at lights before the holiday. Price of gas.
  18. Computer photo copy paper $12
