Every year thousands of people give gifts to their sweetheart on Valentine’s Day. And every year thousands of people give the same type of gift to their sweetheart. This year why not think outside of the box and find that real special something that will have your sweetheart talking about your thoughtfulness and love for the whole year. Here are some ideas to get you thinking:
- Give your love a key. Not just any key mind you, but the key to your heart.
- Write a love letter. Don’t go buy a frilly card or copy a really great romantic poem – this has to come from your heart. It won’t matter if the prose don’t flow smoothly, it’s the fact that you took the time to put into words your feelings that will make the difference.
- Pamper your sweetheart. Fill the bathtub with scented water, use candles for light, throw a handful of rose petals in the water a bottle of wine or bubbly, two glasses – you take it from there.
- Same as number 3 but without the water. Add a bed and some massage oil instead.
- Plan to do something you both have been talking about doing but never got around to – maybe its that restaurant, musical, concert, play … etc.
- Give your valentine a star – literally! globalstarregistry.org is selling the stars. Check it out.
- Who could resist an illustrated copy of Kuma-Sutra.
- How about a mouse pad, note paper, paper weights, etc. that has been personalized with your picture and/or your undying declaration of love.
- Keep your sweetheart thinking about you all summer with a set of romantic, personalized golf balls. Put a couple of interlinking hearts with your names or cupid or something else to help trigger romantic thoughts of you.
- Give your love a ‘Your wish is my command’ night. Anything goes this night – it just might be a lot of fun.
These are just a few chocolate free ideas to get the fires of passion roaring this Valentine’s Day. Think unique, unusual and from the heart and you should have no problem impressing your sweetheart on Feb. 14.
