Black Friday is just around the corner, it is always the Friday after Thanksgiving. Black Friday is one of the best shopping days of the year. Stores have many sales and often open by 5 am. People begin lining up at the stores much earlier than 5 am so they can be the first to get in the doors when they open. Once people are inside it gets crazy at times, there can be a lot of pushing and shoving as well as grabbing. Some times this day can bring out the worst in people!
Black Friday is the start off for the Christmas shopping season. The name Black Friday is thought to have originated in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and is a reference to the heavy shopping done all that day (Maybe it was meant to mean that people are shopping in the black on that day but by Christmas they are shopping in the red) Black Friday isn't an official Holiday but boy maybe it should be because many folks take the day off from work just to shop till they drop.
I find it quite fun shopping on Black Friday! Though I am not to keen on getting run over by a cart that has a wild person behind it. I am also not happy when someone grabs something right out from under my hand as I am reaching for it, but I wouldn't miss this shopping day for the world! I guess it must be the fun of the madness and of course all the sales. It is just a wonderful family tradition!
