Christmas is one of my favorite holidays of the year. Surround by the good will of people and the atmosphere it invokes---Christmas gives us all a sense of hope. We all need hope in our daily lives and Christmas gives us just that.
I haven't started any of my shopping, and I usually don't shop till the last minute of course. I just don't have the time or money to spend these days.
Last minute shopping is always fun and exciting. There is a little bit of stress involved but usually it is a happy kind. Wrapping all those presents is another story.
The best part of Christmas is Jesus. Jesus was born in a little stable and didn't have all the luxuries that we know of. He was born on a straw of hay. His mother became a single parent when he got older. How many of us have shared in this experience? I'm sure many of us have or are doing it right now.
I am thankful and preparing to pave the way of the Christ child in my home--- as I focus on his birth and reason for his coming---our hope and our salvation is the key.
