It's closer than we think to a birthday, Christmas, Hanukkah, or to taking that special hostess gift! By the looks of our sad economy, we maybe should limit our spending and I have a simple little treasure idea that I use in my own home. Not all gift giving fits into this category, but for teachers, good friends, and distant cousins, it might work for you.
The dollar stores carry cute little metal baskets or containers that will fit well into a corner of the bathroom sink. Paper towels folded into fourths fit into these containers and provide not only a nice alternative to guest towels...they are lots more economical. Around the holidays, some of the paper products can be found in special décor.
This is one of those projects that require spending the most money on the paper towels. If they are really cheap, they are not going to look like a suitable substitute for expensive guest towels.
