America is a country with more freedom than many other countries. Its only limitations are the fundamental laws that are placed for economic security. They also keep the country fair and keep the environment around us protected as much as possible.
My American artifact is an apple tree. The apple tree has the freedom of growing where it was raised but by natures law has to stay in place so as not to die. They stay in place and grow their offspring in the apple. They also provide protection for the offspring. They can grow in peace. They also flourish just like most people who work hard in modern day society.
Most people in America have come from other countries. There are many different varieties of apple trees out there too. The immigrants come here with the hopes of flourishing. They wish to obtain wealth and grow families and or to help their families back in their mother countries. While the seedlings of the tree do not help their mothers, they are part of the new generation.
This artifact is timeless in the fact that it has the motives of the first pilgrims and all who come and live in America now. They want a good life with as much freedom as possible or to start over with a better opportunity. It is a universal as almost everyone in the world who has had a rough life would always like to start over again and also flourish with the opportunities available here in America.
