This is the reason why all of these gossip columns, tabloids, talk shows and reality television make money. Everyone likes to know the horrible details of someone else's life. There is no such thing as keeping information confidential. There's a saying “Even bad press is news”. How does this affect the average person in a workplace? Is bad press also news?” It is sad really. Our society thrives on glorifying in someone else's misery until they become the target.
